Heels of Ogliastra
In the wild heart of Sardinia
- They are called this because, when viewed from a distance, they resemble the heel of a shoe. These limestone-dolomite mountains are scattered throughout the Ogliastra region: the most famous is Perda Liana, located in the municipality of Gairo.
- Here are a few more: the heel of Monte Tisiddu, the Arba heel (Ussassai), Monte Lumburau, Monte Arquerì, the Anuill’e Ferru heel and Punta Corongiu in Jerzu.
